Advanced
Open Water Diver
This is an instructor favorite! The course consists of 5 dives,
at least one of which will be deep (80 to 100 feet), a navigation dive, then 3 others. The
only requirement for this class is your open water certification for PADI
and 20 dives if getting an IANTD or SDI certification. The cost for the course includes
a manual
and the dives. Class
lasts 2 days, usually Saturday and Sunday, or we work it out with you to spread them
out.
We offer many options on where this course is performed, ie: local
springs, West coast of Florida, boats in South Florida, North Florida and the Keys. Certifications
are available from PADI The Advanced Open Water Diver program fine tunes your dive skills and allows you to explore some of diving's top adventures. It's your dive - go for it! The Advanced Open Water Diver program offers you a structured program where you gain additional experience and skills under the direct guidance of a dive professional. The Advanced Open Water Diver program has something for everyone. This in-water, performance based program includes a total of five dives from the following list:
If you're 15 or older, and a Open Water Diver or equivalent, then you're ready for the Advanced Open Water Diver program (or remember SDI and IANDT require you to have completed 20 dives). Or, if you're between the ages of 10 and 14, there's the Junior Advanced Open Water Diver or Junior Advanced Plus programs. The Junior programs are available if you are a Junior Open Water Diver or equivalent certification. After successfully completing the course, you'll receive the Advanced Open Water Diver certification. This allows you to participate in more advanced diving activities with a maximum recommended depth limit of 30 metres/ 100 feet, in addition to the qualifications listed for Open Water Divers.
