Jacksonville/Mayport FL 17 July 1999
No great photo opportunities, but the water was warm (a change from all the spring dives lately). We dove wrecks at both sites. The VIS at the first was 5 feet; really bad, but there were fish around it. The VIS at the second dive was much better, around 25+ feet. I saw a short, stocky shark, but not fast or close enough for a picture. My BC inflator hose sprang a major leak and I had to disconnect it for the entire dive, but managed just fine without it.
This will probably be my nephew Joshua's last dive for the summer and maybe the year. He dived without problem or incident.
We used Atlantic
Pro Divers as the charter.
