Beach Diving at Ft. Lauderdale by the Sea
A few of us attempted a beach dive at Ft Pierce this month, but the
visibility was just about 3 feet. Undaunted by the attempt and the extra
long swim out past a wreck there, we headed to Ft Lauderdale since we
heard the VIS was excellent. We arrived to find it so. Great
dive even though the depth is shallow.
IANTD Recreational Trimix
We are pleased to announce that we are now offering training for trimix
for the recreational diver. Using trimix (Nitrogen, Oxygen & Helium)
helps keep narcosis out of the dive plan to depths in the 80'/24m to
130'/40m range. To qualify for this 2 day class, you must be an Advanced
Open Water and Nitrox diver. You can take the Nitrox, Deep Diver,
and/or the Advanced Nitrox class
with this course also. Course
Description Information
about Trimix in general.
We also offer Open Water thru
Advanced Trimix and Cave thru IANTD.

Buford Spring had
60'+ visibility on the 30th of April. Awesome cavern. This cavern is supposedly
the 2nd largest cavern in Florida (after Wakulla Springs). This is a cavern
dive and should only be dived by trained cavern or cave divers.

Open Water Dive Training is about all we
have been doing the past few weeks. An occasional technical and/or
cavern/cave class. Our dive local sites for open water are, at this
time, Deleon Springs, Crystal River Springs, and Alexander Springs.

We are offering
integrating technical dive training with our cavern and especially, cave classes. We are offering nitrox
and advanced nitrox courses in combination with our cavern and cave courses.
We want to improve the quality and standards of our cavern and cave divers.
Prices are listed on the
Prices page.

Lake Denton. July Update! The
county plans to build a parking lot for up to 8 vehicles. This means a limit
to vehicles so weekend diving at Lake Denton is out of the question if
parking is going to be limited. Too far to drive to find out there is no
room. Lake Denton,

Photographs of our Classes. We
always take pictures of all our classes, dives and trips. We put them
online, in raw form, for the participants to view anytime or to download and
save. On occasion we put some of the best ones on our web site's library or
even create a special trip or class web page.
Technical Dive Training
in Sidemount Configuration is now an option during technical dive
training if the student is well familiar using it.

Sidemount is a
technique where the two primary tanks are worn on the sides of the diver,
not the back.

SDI Online Classes
- In May we added the option of being about to do the Open Water Course
online. This is done only with Scuba Diving International (SDI).
We still use a CD Rom kit for PADI Open Water courses.
And added bonus to this online course is the Navy's
dive table we link to:

Faces?
We
put to use all the snap shots of past student's certification photos. We
made a web page out of them. Check this
LINK out to see over a hundred of
them covering the past 3 years. Since then, and because of digital
cameras, we've been taking most of them. Beware ladies, we like to
take the pictures after a dive, when you might not be at your best
appearance...
